Dolphin View Cottages are situated on the seafront in the picturesque village of Portmahomack.

The small fishing village Lies on the peninsula between the moray firth and the Dornoch firth. With uninterrupted panoramic views over the Dornoch Firth to the Sutherland mountains this is the perfect relaxing get away. 

These four luxury cottages, comfortably sleep 6, and combine the comfort of modern living with the charm and nostalgia of a victorian fisherman’s home. The bright large kitchen/dining area and sitting room is open plan, ideal for families. The 3 bedrooms consist of 1 double bedded room, 1 twin bedded room and 1 adult bunk bedded room. 

Each cottages has its own private fenced in patio with patio furniture and shared use of a large gated enclosed lawn - a safe playing area for children.

The village’s lovely sandy beach is just a short stroll walk from the cottages. Ideal for families, for swimming, sunbathing, windsurfing and sailing. From the village, there are numerous coastal walks, a favourite being the walk along the shore to Tarbatness lighthouse, the 3rd highest lighthouse in Britain.

In the village we have a well equipped shop/post-office, a lovely village pub, Seafront hotel, Golf club, Bistro and the highly acclaimed Oyster catcher restaurant. 

Portmahomack is an ideal touring base from which to enjoy the delights of the rest of the highlands including the west coast, Inverness, John O’Groats and Loch ness to name a few. The historic burgh of Tain is just 9 miles away and has many places of interest including Glenmorangie distillery and the pilgrimage centre which organises audio guided tours around the ancient burgh. 

We welcome dogs in all of our properties at Dolphin View. 
However, we do have a small subcharge of £20 per dog (maximum 2) and kindly ask that dogs are not left unattended, kept out of bedrooms and off any furniture.

The village of Portmahomack is situated 44 miles North of Inverness airport.
